Lending firm robbed

By Francis Allan L. Angelo

ROBBERS swooped down on a credit company in Iloilo City over the weekend.

Two armed suspects went inside Credit Assurance Service Finance Corp. in Rica Building, Mabini St., and declared the heist past 3pm Saturday.

Branch manager Priscilla Rebota said the suspects then tied their hands and feet and covered their mouths with masking tape.

The suspects’ total haul amounted to P40,000 cash, P300,000 worth of jewelry, nine cellphone units and assorted ATM and credit cards.

The robbery was discovered when another employee found the victims lying on the floor.

The police are still verifying the identities of the suspects who raided the credit firm.
