A CASE of love triangle cost the lives of two cousins in Lemery, Iloilo over the weekend.
Cousins Nilo Daanoy and Jaime Villaruz, both of Brgy. Imbawulan, Lemery died of multiple gunshot wounds in their body.
The Lemery police said Nilo’s brother, Edwin Daanoy, may have been the actual target of the suspect.
Police have arrested a certain Edgardo Eligino on suspicion of masterminding the incident.
S/Insp. Roweno Pungoy, Lemery police chief, said they received information that Eligino has an elicit affair with Edwin’s wife.
Pungoy said witnesses pointed to Eligino as the one who gave the signal to attack the victims.
Apparently, the suspect thought mistook Nilo for Edwin as the two look alike.
Eligino is now detained at the Lemery police station.
